George Street is the independent consultancy of Anthony Gayle, built around nearly two decades of experience solving project problems from different sides of the built environment. I bring experienced judgment and hands-on project leadership, whether that means leading, strengthening an existing team, or helping carry a project across the finish line through production and construction administration.
Three Service Areas
George Street offers three distinct service areas, each built around a different kind of buyer and project.
For Architecture & Design Firms
Experienced project leadership, production support, and construction administration to keep projects moving, strengthen an existing team, or help carry the work across the finish line.
Explore Architectural Support →For Contractors & Design-Builders
Experienced coordination and project support that bridges design intent, project documentation, consultants, and what is actually happening in the field.
Explore Construction Support →For Property Owners
Independent project judgment and defined support for owners who need help understanding a project, making decisions, coordinating the right people, or determining what should happen next.
Explore Owner’s Project Advisory →Experience Built Across Different Sides of the Work
My career has developed across architecture, project management, construction administration, Army Reserve engineering, independent consulting, technical product development, business development, branding and marketing, and the perspective that comes from being a homeowner, property owner, and real estate investor.
That range affects how I see a project.
A workplace isn’t only drawings and construction. It can also express a company’s identity, reinforce its culture, support its people, and communicate something to every employee, client, or visitor who enters it.
And a successful project isn’t only the work of one discipline. It depends on people with different responsibilities understanding what needs to happen, communicating clearly, and taking ownership of their part.
I’ve worked across those boundaries for more than 19 years. George Street brings that broader perspective to the work in front of me.
How I Work
If I commit to carrying something, I own the communication, follow-through, and work within that responsibility.
Problems don’t improve by hiding them. Clear status gives a team the opportunity to act.
Every discipline and every member of a project team brings something necessary to the outcome.
Shortcuts that undermine the final product eventually become someone else’s problem.
Good project leadership sometimes requires an uncomfortable conversation.
Good support should strengthen the people and systems around the work, not manufacture dependence.
Where the Experience Comes From
Architecture, project delivery, construction, technical-commercial development, business development, and independent consulting.
Experience spanning production and Job Captain responsibilities through project management, construction administration, multidisciplinary coordination, client communication, and senior project leadership.
Led the establishment and growth of Drains Unlimited’s U.S. operation and the expansion of ATT INOX’s product offering and market presence in the U.S. and Canada, spanning product development and commercialization, certification, specifications, business development, distribution, technical sales, branding and marketing.
Construction and leadership experience developed alongside a civilian career in the built environment.
EXPERIENCE AND PROJECT INFORMATION. The experience, project counts, and years of practice described on this website reflect Anthony Gayle’s career history across multiple employers, engagements, and roles. They are provided for background purposes and do not guarantee any particular result, timeline, outcome, or level of service for future engagements. Every project is subject to its own conditions, requirements, team, and variables outside George Street’s control. George Street’s involvement in any future project will be defined by the applicable engagement agreement.
The Work Behind the Experience
George Street is built on work performed across corporate interiors and workplace, high-rise multifamily and high-end residential, healthcare, senior living, K–12, hospitality, aquatic and specialty facilities, technical products, and independent consulting.
The Project Record separates George Street engagements from Anthony’s broader employment and contract history, so you can see the actual work behind it.
Get Started
Tell me what’s happening. I’ll tell you plainly whether George Street is the right fit and where I can be useful.
About George Street
George Street is the independent consultancy of Anthony Gayle, a project leader whose career has developed across architecture, construction, Army Reserve engineering, technical-commercial development, business development, and independent consulting.
For more than 19 years, those experiences have often developed in parallel rather than as separate chapters. The common thread has been learning complex environments, understanding how the pieces fit together, taking responsibility for the work, and helping people move projects forward.
George Street brings that experience together in one place.
Built Through the Work
I began on the production side of the profession and developed through Job Captain responsibilities, project coordination, project management, construction administration, multidisciplinary team leadership, and direct client responsibility.
That experience has crossed corporate interiors and workplace, high-rise multifamily, high-end residential, healthcare, senior living, K–12, hospitality, aquatic and specialty facilities, and other project environments.
Corporate workplace work taught me particularly well that a successful project begins before drawings.
Understanding how an organization operates, how its people actually use space, where existing conditions create friction, how departments interact, and what the business is trying to accomplish can shape everything that follows. Workplace studies and programming turn those observations into information. Workplace strategy translates that information into decisions about space utilization, departmental relationships, circulation, collaboration, privacy, flexibility, productivity, culture, and how the organization may need to work in the future.
Brand and identity are part of that equation too. The workplace communicates something to the people who work there every day and to the clients and visitors who experience the company through its physical environment.
That experience taught me to look beyond the immediate drawing or task and understand the business objective the project is supposed to serve.
Understanding Construction From the Field
Early in my career, I also worked part-time as a masonry apprentice through Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 1 New York and the International Masonry Institute training system. That apprenticeship combined classroom instruction with hands-on field experience and deepened my understanding of craft execution, jobsite conditions, safety, sequencing, trade interaction, and the realities of turning construction documents into built work.
That training also included my OSHA 30-hour construction safety training.
Alongside my civilian career, I served as a U.S. Army Reserve Engineer NCO and combat veteran, developing construction and leadership experience in another very different operating environment.
Together, those experiences gave me something I still value today: respect for the distance between a line on a drawing and the work required to build it.
Building Beyond the Project
One of the most formative assignments of my career came through a five-year engagement spanning Drains Unlimited and ATT INOX, its larger international manufacturing partner.
With Drains Unlimited, I was entrusted by the owners with building and leading the U.S. operation and developing it into a recognized brand across the United States and Canada. The work reached residential, commercial, food-processing, and industrial applications, with additional customers and opportunities extending into the Caribbean and other international markets.
My responsibility was not simply to sell products. It was to build the organization required to bring them to market and deliver them successfully.
That meant developing the structure around the business: product strategy, certification and standards, specifications and pricing, international manufacturing coordination, logistics and delivery, technical sales, business development, branding and marketing, customer acquisition, sales-team development, representative channels, distribution networks, and the operating systems needed to connect them.
At the same time, my work with ATT INOX carried a related but distinct responsibility: expanding its product offering, footprint, and brand recognition into the United States and Canada.
I took that responsibility beyond simply introducing an existing European catalog to a new territory. I developed a product line specifically adapted and positioned for the U.S. and Canadian markets, working through product configuration, standards and certification requirements, specifications, market positioning, sales materials, distribution, and the communication needed to make those products understandable and usable within the North American design and construction environment.
The work also stayed close to the end user. I worked directly with facility managers, owners, contractors, and customers to understand the conditions they were dealing with and develop or adapt solutions around the actual application. In food-processing, industrial, commercial, and residential environments, that sometimes meant going beyond a standard catalog offering and working through dimensions, loading, drainage requirements, field conditions, materials, fabrication, and other project-specific constraints to arrive at a solution that fit the space and the problem.
Much of that product architecture and market positioning continued beyond my engagement and remains reflected in how the offering is presented today.
The individual responsibilities mattered, but the larger lesson mattered more.
These weren’t separate functions. They formed a system.
Product decisions affected certification. Certification affected manufacturing. Manufacturing affected pricing and logistics. Specifications affected how architects and engineers understood and selected the products. Sales representatives and distributors determined how those products reached the market. Branding, marketing, and business development had to communicate their value. And none of it mattered if the organization couldn’t ultimately deliver what had been promised to the customer or end user.
My responsibility was to understand that entire system well enough to build it, lead it, and keep its different parts moving together.
That experience expanded how I think about leadership. Sometimes the problem in front of you is a project. Sometimes it’s a product, a process, a market, or an organization that still needs to be built.
The disciplines change. The underlying responsibility doesn’t: understand the problem, learn what you don’t know, connect the right pieces, communicate across different perspectives, and turn ambiguity into something people can actually operate.
That perspective continues to shape how I approach George Street today.
Leadership Under Constraint
During my deployment to Afghanistan, while running combat construction operations, leadership assigned my team a mission to build roughly 30 guard towers with an eight-man crew in two weeks. I pushed back and told them the timeline wasn’t realistic, that we needed four weeks to do it right. Leadership came back with the mission-critical constraints: two weeks was what we had.
So we rebuilt the problem instead of accepting the deadline as fixed. I split the team, brought in additional soldiers outside our own engineer specialty, and trained separate crews on different stages of construction, run in sequence like a factory line. We ran two shifts around the clock, day and night, with my second in command leading nights while I ran days. We finished two days ahead of the two-week deadline leadership had originally set, the one I’d told them wasn’t enough time.
That’s the same instinct I bring to George Street. When a timeline, a scope, or a plan doesn’t hold up, the answer isn’t to go along with it quietly. It’s to say so, then find the structure that actually gets the work done.
Leadership Also Means Developing People
Throughout my career, I’ve trained and mentored people working alongside me, shared the project-management practices and lessons I’ve learned, and tried to help junior staff become more capable, more self-sufficient, and less reliant on leadership for every answer.
The goal isn’t to make people dependent on what I know. It’s to share enough of the experience behind the answer that they become better equipped to make the next decision themselves.
That’s something I carried from the military into civilian leadership: develop the people behind you. Share what you know. Give them responsibility. Help prepare the next person to lead.
The same principle applies to consulting. I want George Street to bring value to the client, strengthen the work and the people around it, and leave things better than I found them.
An Owner’s Perspective
I’m a homeowner, property owner, and real estate investor in addition to being a project professional. That experience has given me direct exposure to property acquisition, renovation, maintenance, operations, capital decisions, and the tradeoffs owners make when a technically ideal answer meets a real budget and a real asset.
It doesn’t replace the role of an architect, engineer, contractor, attorney, accountant, or other specialist.
It does mean that when an owner brings me a problem, I understand that the project isn’t simply a collection of drawings and construction activities. It may be their home, property, investment, business, capital, and risk.
That perspective matters.
Why George Street
Sometimes the need is experienced architectural project leadership.
Sometimes it’s production or construction-administration capacity to help carry a project across the finish line.
Sometimes a contractor or design-build firm needs someone who understands the space between design information and field execution.
And sometimes an owner needs an experienced person who can look at the situation, understand what’s happening, help identify what needs to happen next, and coordinate the right people around it.
Different roles. Same underlying responsibility: understand the work, be direct about what you see, take ownership of what you accept, help move the project forward.

George Street CS, LLC is committed to making its website accessible to all visitors, including individuals with disabilities.
We strive to ensure that georgestreet-cs.com is accessible and usable for as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as a reference standard and work to apply its principles of perceivability, operability, understandability, and robustness as we develop and maintain the website. This website includes a built-in accessibility toolbar (bottom-left corner) that allows visitors to adjust text size, enable high contrast, reduce motion, and activate a dyslexia-friendly font.
Accessibility is not a one-time task. As we update content, add features, and improve the website, we work to identify and address accessibility barriers. Our efforts include designing pages with readable text, sufficient color contrast, and clear navigation structure; providing alternative text for meaningful images where applicable; structuring content with headings, labels, and landmarks to support assistive technologies; working to ensure that forms and interactive elements are usable with keyboard navigation and screen readers; and reviewing new content and design changes for accessibility considerations.
Despite our efforts, some areas of the website may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. These may include certain older or legacy content that has not yet been reviewed or updated; third-party tools, embedded content, or linked platforms that are outside George Street CS, LLC’s direct control; and document files such as PDFs that may not be fully optimized for screen readers. We are working to identify and improve these areas on an ongoing basis.
If you encounter difficulty accessing any content or feature on this website, we want to help. You may contact us directly and we will work with you to provide the information or service you need through an alternative method.
Your feedback helps us improve. If you experience an accessibility barrier on this website, have difficulty using any page or feature, or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us:

This website may link to or embed content from third-party platforms, tools, or services. George Street CS, LLC does not control the accessibility practices of those third parties.
